Cycling Tour in Italy | From Bologna: Delve into its Hills, Castles and Delights
Come and discover the fascinating territory named “Colli Bolognesi”, where most of the eccelent wine consumed in Bologna is produced. Accessible from the central train station, this guided bike tour takes you to wander in the local Calanchi Mounts of Abbadessa, a unique landscape with a view to the “Red City”, crossing magnificent castles before reaching the hamlet of Varignana, famous for its palace (at which we’ll take a peep) and where the winery is located. Here, the experience of the wine tasting will take place and you’ll get the chance to explore local grapes such as Pignoletto, Albana, Famoso or the famous Sangiovese (three kinds of wines at client’s discretion is included in the price). 09.00 am - Meeting at Bologna, San Lazzaro di Savena (8 min by train from Bologna Centrale). Introduction, Bike fitting and briefing
09.30 am - Departure from the meeting point, heading towards Varignana.
10.30 am - The tour touches hamlets such as Farneto, Castel dei Briti and Ciagnano, hitting unique landscapes such as the Calanchi Mounts of Abbadessa.
12.00 am - Arrival at the Winery where the tasting experience will happen.
01.30 pm - Restart cycling heading towards the meeting point, touching villages such as Ozzano dell’Emilia.
03.30 pm - Arrival at the meeting point at San Lazzaro.

In the event of cancellation of the tour due to bad weather, it will be rescheduled. If participation on the new proposed date is impossible, the amount will be refunded (depending on the payment method, management costs may be withheld)
As long as the cancellation is requested within 48 hours of the start time of the chosen tour, the refund will be granted in full, with management costs relating to the payment method being withheld.
